Induna Adventures is calling all mountain bikers for a life changing experience!! How much fun can you have on a mountain bike? The answer will be found on 1 June at the 2013 First Ascent Big Induna MTB challenge in Hazyview, Mpumalanga. Team Induna is working around the clock to perfect rider & spectator satisfaction by adding more value to the venue and dishing up a route with a difference.

This is your opportunity to ride in a unique and spectacular environment. Forget endless fire road and jeep track climbs where road bike endurance more than MTB skill prevail, the First Ascent Induna MTB Challenge serves up an entirely different menu to get your teeth into! Characterized by hand cut trails snaking through indigenous forest, the course serves up a mind-blowing mix of short sharp climbs, rock shelves, rooty drops and fast bermed switchbacks, throw into this a few shallow water crossings and even some single tracks beaten flat by hippos and you will not regret taking up the challenge!

Making the race even more enjoyable is the Lowveld’s warm winter climate, a welcome break from the chilly highveld, camping at the venue will be comfortable and the race atmosphere festive.

This is truly a Mountain Bike race for those of us who want the full experience, a race where skill and determination can outrace and outwit just mere fitness. An epic mountain bike race isn’t defined by distance alone, it’s a bellyful of thrills, a mud splattered grin and the satisfaction in your own personal victory! Route Profile

The hills around Hazyview are not flat. So do expect some climbing to warm-up the legs. This route includes most of the amazing single tracks and scenery that has made the Big Induna everybody’s favourite race
