Your Trail in Pictures
After arrival at Induna Adventure Centre, you will be introduced to your guide who will then introduce you to your new four legged friend. The guide will brief you on how to ride the horse, and will also establish your experience level.
Our horses are “Boer Perde” and would be regarded as “ponies” in most countries. They are field horses and don’t stay in stables, thus have to be caught just before each trail ride. On the Novice / Beginner Trails, you would only walk with the horses while enjoying the scenery, and on the Intermediate Trails, you would trot a bit. On the Experienced Trails, riders would do some cantering and go a bit off the beaten track.
Although we have about 10 horses we only take groups of a maximum of 5 riders at a time.
Frequently Asked Questions
May I take a camera along?
Yes. You may also give the camera to the guide, who can then take pictures of you and your party.
What clothes do I have to wear?
Long trousers are the best. Wear shoes that have a bit of a heal. If you don’t have shoes with a heal then normal sneakers (tekkies) are just fine. Slops don’t work that well.
May I “lift” my child on my horse?
No. The way the saddles are shaped allows only one person per horse. Rather book your child for a pony ride.
