More Info

We normally meet guests early morning at Swadini Aventura Resort. This is very close to the take out point after the rafting. It has a secure place to leave vehicles and also has great accommodation from camping to self catering chalets.

From here we depart with an Induna vehicle to the river, it is about a 1.5 hour drive through the mountains into the gorge.

Once we get to the starting point inside the gorge, you will be give a safety talk and receive pfd’s (life Jacket) and helmets.

The first series of rapids are small (Class 2) but as we descend deeper into the gorge they get bigger untill we reach the four biggest ones Island rapid (Class 3) and Alley’s Staircase (Class 3) just before lunch time and The Termenator (Class 3+) with Marc’s Drop (Class 3+) and Amma Glug Glug (Class 3+) just after lunch. Lunch is held on the banks in the form of a picnic lunch.

Depending on the group size and fitness the dam with the boat as pick up should be reached any time from 15:00 to 17:00. Frme here all the rafts are towed behind the boat on a scenic bot trip over the dam back to the starting point at Swadini.
